CPT follows a number of best practice techniques that we have evolved over our years in business. However, our processes are not dictatorial in nature. We believe that the best methodology is broad, but shallow. It is very specific on defining the “what” of each engagement, but is flexible when it comes to explaining the “how.” It’s important to be crystal clear on the objectives, but it’s also important to allow for creativity on the part of those tasked with accomplishing them.

Having a methodology does not guarantee success. The challenge is to assemble the right human resources, with the right skills, and then ensure ongoing communication and effective project management. Senior management involvement and a supportive project structure all contribute to process success.

A good process is underappreciated when everything is working as expected. When the inevitable breakdown occurs in a single element, the process needs to be resilient enough to avoid a total failure.
